Nigerian singer-songwriter Cheque, whose real name is Akanbi Bamidele, rose to recognition after the success of his 2020 single “Zoom.”

In 2015, while still in college, he began his musical career.

After being recognized by Phyno during one of his Instagram freestyle rap performances, he was signed to Penthauze Records in February 2019.
