Nollywood veteran, Chinedu Ikedieze aka AKI, has opened up on how he met his colleague, Osita Iheme aka Pawpaw.
Speaking during a viral podcast, AKI shared details about his early connection with Pawpaw, a partnership that would later shape Nollywood comedy for years.
According to him, even before they met physically, people had already been linking both of them together because of their striking resemblance. At the time, they were in the same academic environment, and many assumed they were twins.
When they finally met, the connection came naturally. AKI explained that the chemistry between them was immediate, something that later translated into their on-screen performances.
He said Pawpaw is a very private person and does not like to be in the limelight. But the shy artist played a big role in their journey as he always helped them to grow in the industry.
Their collaboration eventually grew into something bigger than expected. From comedy roles to unforgettable movie moments, the duo built a legacy that many Nigerians still celebrate today, no be small thing.
As it stands now, many Nigerians see AKI and Pawpaw as one of the best duos Nollywood has ever produced. Their story is a testament to how natural chemistry and timing can influence careers and create a lasting legacy.
“From the very first day I met Osita (Pawpaw), I felt instant chemistry. He’s a true introvert who shies away from people. Before we even met in 2001, students in my school had already been telling me about this guy who looked exactly like me.”
